GDPR and UK GDPR
Your rights if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, and how we meet them.
Last updated November 2, 2026.
This page sits alongside the privacy notice, which lists everything we collect. Read that first. This page covers only what the General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR add on top.
Who is responsible
Lidespy LLP, Pune, India, is the controller for personal data collected through IntelliAInsight. Write to hello@intelliainsight.com for anything on this page. Put GDPR request in the subject line so it reaches the right person.
Why we are allowed to hold your data
Every piece of personal data has to have a lawful basis. Ours are these, and only these.
| What we hold | Lawful basis | What that means in practice |
|---|---|---|
| Your newsletter address and first name | Consent, Article 6(1)(a) | You typed it into a form and pressed the button. You can take it back at any time and we stop. |
| Analytics and visitor identification tools | Consent, Article 6(1)(a) | Nothing loads until you agree in the banner. Saying no leaves the site working exactly the same. |
| What you write in a contact or pitch form | Legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) | You wrote to us and expect a reply. Weighed against your privacy, answering you is the obvious outcome. |
| A comment you post under an article | Consent, Article 6(1)(a) | You chose to publish it. Ask and we take it down. |
| Daily page and reading totals | Legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) | Counts only. They are not linked to a person and cannot be traced back to you. |
| Session and preference cookies | Strictly necessary | They keep forms working and remember your cookie and dark mode choices. No consent is required for these. |
We do not use automated decision making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not need to hold your data for any legal obligation beyond ordinary business records.
Your rights
- Access
- Ask what we hold about you and get a copy.
- Rectification
- Have anything wrong corrected.
- Erasure
- Have it deleted, unless we are required to keep it.
- Restriction
- Have us stop using it while a dispute is sorted out.
- Portability
- Get the data you gave us in a machine readable file, or have it sent elsewhere.
- Objection
- Object to anything we do on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent
- At any moment, with no reason given. Withdrawing it does not undo what was lawful before.
Two of these need no request at all. Use the one click unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter, or open Cookie settings in the footer, and the change takes effect immediately. For everything else, write to hello@intelliainsight.com. We answer within one month, free of charge. If a request is unusually complex we may take up to two further months, and we will tell you why before that happens.
We may ask you to confirm the address the request came from. That is only so we do not hand your data to somebody else.
Where your data goes
Newsletter addresses are held in a Google Sheet owned by Lidespy LLP, on Google servers. Analytics tools, if you allow them, are run by Google and Microsoft. That means some data is processed in the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU to US Data Privacy Framework. The current adequacy position is published by the European Commission.
We never sell your data and we never pass your address to another publisher or advertiser.
How long we keep things
The privacy notice gives the period for each item. In short: newsletter data until you leave, form messages for two years, comments until you ask us to remove them, and analytics as daily totals with no personal data in them.
If you are not happy with our answer
Tell us first and we will try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority without going through us. In the EEA, find yours through the European Data Protection Board. In the UK it is the Information Commissioner's Office. In Switzerland it is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
