Canada, PIPEDA
How this publication meets the ten principles of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
Last updated November 2, 2026.
This page sits alongside the privacy notice, which lists everything we collect. PIPEDA is built on ten fair information principles, so this page answers them one at a time.
1. Accountability
Lidespy LLP, Pune, India, is responsible for the personal information under its control, including anything held by a service provider on our behalf. Our privacy contact is hello@intelliainsight.com. Put PIPEDA in the subject line.
2. Identifying purposes
Every form on this site says what the information is for before you press the button: an email address to send you the newsletter, a message so we can reply, a comment so we can publish it. We do not later use it for something else without asking you again.
3. Consent
Nothing personal reaches us unless you type it in. Optional tools such as analytics load only after you agree to them in the cookie banner, which is express consent, opt in, never pre ticked. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject only to legal or contractual limits and reasonable notice. Use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter, the unsubscribe page, or Cookie settings in the footer.
4. Limiting collection
We collect the least we can. The newsletter form asks for an email address and, optionally, a first name. There is no field on this site that exists only because it might be useful one day.
5. Limiting use, disclosure and retention
We use your information only for the purpose you gave it for. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it, and we do not pass it to another publisher or advertiser. The only disclosures are to the service providers who run the spreadsheet that holds newsletter addresses and, if you allow them, the analytics tools, all under contracts that forbid any other use. Retention periods are listed in the privacy notice, and we delete on schedule rather than keeping things in case.
6. Accuracy
Tell us anything that is wrong and we will correct it. Because we hold so little, the main thing to keep accurate is your email address.
7. Safeguards
Newsletter addresses are never stored in the website database. Administrator passwords are kept only as hashes. The site uses prepared database statements, escapes everything it prints, checks a token on every form, and restricts uploads by type and size. Access to the dashboard is limited to named accounts with the least permission each person needs.
8. Openness
Our policies are published, not sent on request: the privacy notice, the cookie notice and this page. Each names what we collect, why, and who to write to.
9. Individual access
Write to hello@intelliainsight.com and we will tell you what personal information we hold about you, what it is being used for and who it has been disclosed to, and give you a copy. We answer within 30 days at no cost. If we ever need longer, we will tell you why within those 30 days. If we have to refuse part of a request, we will say which part and on what ground, and tell you how to challenge it.
10. Challenging compliance
Complain to us first at hello@intelliainsight.com. We investigate every complaint, and if it is justified we fix the practice, not just the case. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Residents of Quebec, British Columbia and Alberta also have provincial privacy regulators, and nothing here limits your right to go to them.
Anti spam
Canada's anti spam legislation applies to our newsletter. You join only by asking to, which is express consent. Every message identifies Lidespy LLP, gives a working postal and email contact, and carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click and takes effect immediately.
